Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 005 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2): Listed or labeled electrical equipment was not used or installed in accordance with instructions included in the listing or labeling: (a) Dog Bed Area - Employees used receptacles on a General Electrical relocatable power tap (a.k.a. power strip) to power loads, including a Husky 4.5 Gallon Portable Electric-Powered Silent Air Compressor and a tape machine. The UL listing for the relocatable power tap specifies using the device for supplying power to low amperage electronic equipment, exposing employees to an electrical hazard, on or about August 16, 2023. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and state employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
