29 CFR 1910.135(a)(1):The employer did not ensure that each affected employee wear a protective helmet when working in areas where there is a potential for injury to the head from falling objects: a) Welding Departments Plant 1: On or about July 31, 2023 and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to struck-by hazards, in that head protection such as but not limited to bump caps was not provided to employees who are required to move frame components using an overhead hoist crane at head level or higher from workstation to workstation. b) Welding Departments Plant 2: On or about July 31, 2023 and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to struck-by hazards, in that head protection such as but not limited to bump caps was not provided to employees who are required to move frame components using an overhead hoist crane at head level or higher from workstation to workstation.
