29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Rewinder 3: Employees unjamming Rewinder 3, Serial # 70240, were exposed to struck-by hazards from rotating parts and struck -by hazards due to inadequate guarding, on or about June 19, 2023. b) Wintech Take-Off on Calender 10 Line: Employees were exposed to crush-by hazards when operating the machinery due to a lack of guarding around the take-off roller. Abatement certification and documentation required.
