29 CFR 1910.243(a)(1)(i): Portable power driven circular saw(s) having a blade diameter greater than two inches were not equipped with guard(s) below the base plate or shoe which automatically and instantly returned to the covering position when the tool was withdrawn from the work. a) Warehouse North Entrance - On or about April 26, 2023, the employer did not ensure the portable Ryobi Miter saw was equipped with a guard over the saw blade, which automictically adjust to cover the saw blade when withdrawn from the work. Employees were thereby exposed to amputation hazards.
