29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(ii): No. 14 and larger cord was not repaired so that the repair retains the insulation, outer sheath properties, and usage characteristics of the cord being spliced: (a) Employees engaged in operating the Gray Lifting Jacks in the fleet maintenance building located at 1915 Kansas City Road, Olathe, Kansas were exposed to electrical hazards due to the outer sheath of the power cords being damaged and exposing energized conductors. (b) Employees engaged in operating power jack #601540 located at 1915 Kansas City Road, Olathe, Kansas were exposed to electrical hazards due to the outer sheath properties being damaged and exposing energized wiring on the battery's red charging cable.
