29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that all places of employment, passageways, storerooms, service rooms, and walking-working surfaces are kept in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition. Basement below Chemical Process: On or about, and at times prior, March 20, 2023 and at times prior, employees were exposed to slip and fall hazards. The staircase leading up to the C04/C05 coolant sample area is slippery with a substance that makes the stairs slick. The employer failed to ensure employees were not exposed to slippery surfaces in the basement area.
