Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 005 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.151(c):Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: a) Dip Tank Area: On or about 11/16/2022, immediate access to an eyewash station was impeded. The eyewash being obstructed by a rolling rack, cords, wood, and debris. Employees use corrosive products including, but not limited to, Coral Surguard 80 (pH 2.4). NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
