29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): location: garage roof on or about: 9/20/22 a) Employees used 2"X4" framing studs as anchorage points. The anchorage points were not designed, installed, and used under the supervision of a qualified person, as part of a complete personal fall arrest system, which maintained a safety factor of at least two. The employees were exposed to a fall of 14 feet 3 inches. NOTE: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the inspection casefile, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.
