29 CFR 1910.136(a): The employer did not ensure that protective footwear is used where employees are exposed to foot injuries due to falling or rolling objects, or objects piercing sole. a) Worksite - On or about August 9, 2022, Employees were performing tree removal tasks utilizing chainsaws, on a residential property where the worksite's walking surface contained multiple felled trees, limbs, brush and other debris. Employees were exposed to cut timber that was subject to falling and rolling, and the employer did not require the use of protective footwear. Abatement certification and documentation required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photograph or video evidence of abatement or other written records.
