29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): Machine guarding was not provided to protect operators and other employees from hazards created by machine and equipment movement: (a)Steinhaus Brothers, Inc. dba SBI Manufacturing at 47061 Phillip Street, Sioux Falls, SD 57108: On or about and at times prior to August 5, 2022, the employer did not ensure employees were protected from struck-by and caught-in hazards related to movement of the Yaskawa Electric Corporation Motoman welding robot (Type: YR-UP50N-A0D, Serial Number: RH9540-8602-1) in that machine guarding was not provided to prevent employee exposure to moving components of the Motoman robot. This condition exposed employees to struck-by and caught-in hazards. (b)Steinhaus Brothers, Inc. dba SBI Manufacturing at 47061 Phillip Street, Sioux Falls, SD 57108: On or about and at times prior to August 5, 2022, the employer did not ensure employees were protected from struck-by and caught-in hazards related to movement of the rotating workpiece table in the welding robot workstation. Machine guarding was not provided to prevent employee exposure to moving components of the rotating table. This condition exposed employees to struck-by and caught-in hazards.
