29 CFR 1910.219(c)(2)(i): All exposed parts of horizontal shafting seven (7) feet or less from floor or working platform were not protected by stationary casings enclosing shafting completely or by troughs enclosing sides and top or sides and bottom of shafting: (a) United States Machinery Planetary Cabler - The horizontal shaft, near floor level, between the wall and the machine, running the length of the cabler, did not have guarding by a stationary casing enclosing the shafting completely, exposing employees to caught-in and entanglement hazards, on or about February 9, 2022. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and state employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
