29 CFR 1910.217(d)(9)(i): The employer shall establish a diesetting procedure that will insure compliance with paragraph (c) of this section. a) On or about February 11, 2022, the employer had not established a procedure to be followed by employees when working with the die. During a die set up, a press operator had their hands in and near the die without any point of operation guarding, and no safety procedures in use to protect the employee from gravitational energy from the upper die in that the interlocked safety block was not used.
