29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c): a) Southeast end of 41 Sitterly Rd property - On or about August 18, 2021 and at times prior thereto, employees were working inside of an excavation approximately 6' in depth with standing water that did not have any protection. Excavation walls were not sloped/benched nor were support/shield/other protective systems in place. An employee was trapped due to a partial collapse in the excavation which resulted in an emergency rescue and hospitalization.
