29 CFR 1910.1024(d)(1): The employer did not assess airborne exposure of each employee who was, or could reasonably be expected to be exposed to airborne beryllium, in accordance with either the performance option in paragraph (d)(2) or the scheduled monitoring option in paragraph (d)(3) of this standard: a)State Metal Industries, H Furnace: The employer did not perform an assessment for potential airborne exposure to beryllium prior to directing furnace operator employees to enter and clean the H furnace, on or about 12/9/21. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFIACATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENATIONS FOR THEIS ITEM. FAILUTE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1,000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29CFR 1903.19
