Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 005 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.39(c)(3): Procedures for regular maintenance of safeguards installed on heat-producing equipment to prevent the accidental ignition of combustible materials; (a) On or about July 17, 2021, the employer had not established and implemented procedures for the regular maintenance of the shut off valves for the overhead gas powered heaters that were located at the overhead doors in the production area, in that maintenance employees took more that 45 minutes to locate and shut off the gas to the heater in the ARG packaging area when a powered industrial truck struck the gas pipe causing a gas leak.
