29 CFR 1910.37(a)(4) Safeguards designed to protect employees during an emergency (e.g., sprinkler systems, alarm systems, fire doors, exit lighting) must be in proper working order at all times. (a) On or about August 4, 2021, at the worksite located at 714 East Keefe Ave., Milwaukee, WI, the employer did not ensure all exit route doors were able to opened. At least one exit door located by molding machine number K19 was jammed in a way that prevented it from being easily opened in the event of an emergency.
