29 CFR 1926.32(f):"Competent person" means one who is capable of identifying existing and predictable hazards in the surroundings or working conditions which are unsanitary, hazardous, or dangerous to employees, and who has authorization to take prompt corrective measures to eliminate them. a) 1225 McBride Ave Woodland Park, NJ 07424: Employees were exposed to asbestos during construction demolition. The employer did not ensure that a competent person who is capable of identifying existing and predictable hazards in the surroundings or working conditions which are unsanitary, hazardous, or dangerous to employees, and who has authorization to take prompt corrective measures to eliminate them was on site during asbestos abatement on or about on May 18, 2021.
