29 CFR 1910.252(b)(2)(iii): Workers and other persons adjacent to the welding area were not protected from the rays by noncombustible or flameproof screens or shields: The employer does not ensure workers and other persons adjacent to the welding area were protected from the rays. This violation was observed on or about August 3, 2021 in the welding department at the facility, exposing adjacent employees to the hazard of flash burns. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation describing the steps that is taking to ensure workers and other persons adjacent welding areas are protected from the rays.
