29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: Employees were exposed to amputation and struck-by hazards. Employees engaged in maintenance and repair activities in the maintenance shop at the Delta 20" Drill Press 508mm serial #R9719, model #70-200, were exposed to amputation hazards in that machine guarding was not provided. 29 CFR 1903.19(c)(1) requires certification that the abatement of the above violation is complete.
