29 CFR 1926.850(a): Evidence in writing was not available that an engineering survey performed by a competent person had been performed prior to permitting employee(s) to start demolition operations: a) At 845 Main Street, Chipley, Florida; On or about December 22, 2020, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees, engaged in demolition of a building, to hazards associated with the collapse of the structure, in that the employer failed to ensure an engineering survey of the building conditions, including framing, floors, walls, and adjacent structures, was conducted by a competent person.
