29 CFR 1926.405(g)(2)(iv): Strain relief. Flexible cords shall be connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief is provided which will prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws. a) MA Diaz Construction, LLC, at a jobsite located at 833-869 Hidden Springs Drive, Lewis Center, Ohio 43035: On and/or preceding May 7, 2020, the employer did not ensure employees were protected from electrical contact while engaged in residential construction activities. Employees were using an extension cord with the outer insulation jacket pulled away from the strain relief of the male end of the cord, thereby exposing employees to a 125 volt electrical contact hazard.
