29 CFR 1910.252(b)(2)(iii): Workers and other persons adjacent to the welding area were not protected from the rays by noncombustible or flameproof screens or shields: (a): Workshop Welding - Workers located in the direct vicinity of welding work were not protected from the rays by noncombustible screens, or appropriate eyewear. Employees in the area did not use tinted eyewear and the welding work was not adequately enclosed by the welding screens, on or about December 20, 2019. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d). (b): Workshop Plasma Cutting - Workers located in the direct vicinity of the plasma cutting were not protected from the rays by noncombustible screens, or appropriate eyewear. The plasma cutting work was not enclosed by any welding screens, on or about December 20, 2019. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
