29 CFR 1910.303(g)(2)(i): Except as elsewhere required or permitted by Subpart S of Part 1910, live parts of electric equipment operating at 50 volts or more were not guarded against accidental contact by use of approved cabinets or other forms of approved enclosures or by any of the means identified in paragraphs (A), (B), (C), and (D) of 29 CFR 1910.303(g)(2)(i): Employees were exposed to fire and electrical shock hazards. Employees engaged in DC motors functional test activities using the test stand in the following areas were exposed to fire and electrical shock hazards associated with energized electrical wires in that the live parts of electric wires to power the motors to run the external fan had live wires not covered, providing no protection in the event of accidental contact with the exposed energized wires. a) External mobile fan in the Assembly Area (Front Shop) next to the Test Stand #2 unit. b) External mobile fan in the Assembly Area (Front Shop) next to the Test Stand #1 unit. c) External mobile fan in the Machine Shop Area (Back Shop) to cool the air compressor unit. 29 CFR 1903.19(c)(1) requires certification that the abatement of the above violation is complete.
