29 CFR 1910.178(n)(6): Industrial truck drivers were not required to look in the direction of, and keep a clear view of the path of travel: a) On or about February 11, 2019 - 7049 Greenbrier Road, Madison, AL, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards when tuggers turning from the main aisle between the racks into the aisle near the dumpsters were required to look back at the carts being pulled (away from the direction of travel) in order to be sure that they did not hit the racks and bounce toward the dumpsters. b) On or about February 11, 2019 - 7049 Greenbrier Road, Madison, AL, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards when forklift drivers who were driving backward due to the height of the boxes in the load were required to check the boxes repeatedly while driving because it is not possible to see both sides of the boxes and be sure that no one had cut in.
