29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(22): Employees using ladders were carrying objects or loads that could cause the employee to lose balance and fall: a) Ground Ladder - An employee accessing the first story roof from the ground was exposed to fall hazards from carrying a bundle of shingles weighing approximately 70 pounds, up the ladder, on or about September 26th, 2018. b) Roof Ladder - An employee accessing the second story roof from the first story roof was exposed to fall hazards from carrying a bundle of shingles weighing approximately 70 pounds, up the ladder, on or about September 26th, 2018. Abatement certification and documentation required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement or other written records.
