29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. On 9/26/18, at the Covington facility, employees were exposed to fingertip and hand injuries as various machines and lines were not guarded. Instances included: a - CL07 conveyor @ Unload conveyor - in running nip points where belt runs across geared roller b - Chevaler Milling machine - in Maintenance shop - no chuck guard c - Clausing 20 Drill Press - in Maintenance Shop - no chuck guard d - Delta Drill Press 12" machine - in Maintenance Shop - no chuck guard e - Band Saw (no manufacturing information) - in Maintenance Shop - Unused portion of blade left unguarded (6 1/2") f - Cure Press Doors - pneumatic door operates at approximately 72 psi g - Drayton mixers - Wastewater Building
