29 CFR 1910.178(m)(5)(iii): When the operator of an industrial truck is dismounted and within 25 ft. of the truck still in his view, the load engaging means shall be fully lowered, controls neutralized, and the brakes set to prevent movement. a) At Asphalt Services, Spanish Fort, Alabama: On or about January 26, 2018 and at times prior; the employer allowed his employees to work from a pallet elevated by an unattended powered industrial truck exposing his employees to a fall hazard of 10 feet 11 inches to the ground below.
