29 CFR 1926.701(b): Reinforcing steel. All protruding reinforcing steel, onto and into which employees could fall, shall be guarded to eliminate the hazard of impalement. a) Jobsite: The employer did not ensure that rebar protruding from the walking surface was capped to prevent or guard from employees being impaled in the event of a fall, thus exposing employees to impalement hazards. Condition noted/observed on/about 19 DEC 2017.
