29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Point(s) of operation of machinery were not guarded to prevent employee(s) from having any part of their body in the danger zone(s) during operating cycle(s): (a) On the DMS CNC machine, the employer did not ensure that guarding was implemented that restricted access to the point of operation in addition to other moving components on the machine. (b) On the Motion Master CNC machine, the employer did not ensure that guarding was implemented that restricted access to the point of operation in addition to other moving components on the machine. On or about 11-1-17, an employee was operating the Motion Master machine and suffered a laceration injury when handling a mold during the production process.
