Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 005 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(6): The employer did not ensure that each container of hazardous chemicals in the workplace is labeled, tagged or marked: The employer is failing to protect employees from the hazards associated with the chemicals used in the workplace. This most recently occurred on April 25, 2017 at the facility located at 4200 S. 121st Plaza, Omaha, NE 68137. The employer is exposing employees to V-60 solvent which has been transferred from the original container into secondary containers that are not properly labeled. In the printing area there is a red metal can and a small wash bottle that have the word solvent written on them but no other label information as required by this standard. These secondary containers are kept in the printing area and are used routinely throughout all three work shifts by multiple employees.
