29 CFR 1910.133(a)(2): The employer does not ensure that each affected employee uses eye protection that provides side protection when there is a hazard from flying objects. Location: Work Floor The violation was observed on November 10th and November 28th 2016, when: 1) Employees were operating nail guns without eye protection; 2) Employees were not provided safety glasses; 3) Employer did not ensure that employees who did have safety glasses wore them consistently. To abate this violation, the employer must ensure that all employees operating nailguns are provided with safety glasses with side protection, and that they wear them consistently. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, the employer must submit documents describing the steps it is taking to ensure compliance.
