Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 005 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii): Flexible cords and cables were not connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief was provided that would prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws: The employer is failing to protect employees from electrical shock hazards. This was most recently documented on October 25, 2016, when employees in the production area were exposed to electrical equipment that was not provided with strain relief. The flexible cord with exposed conductors had broken free of its connection that powers the Weber bag machine, known to the company as machine 8.
