29 CFR 1910.219(f)(3): Sprocket wheels and chains which were seven -7 feet or less above floors or platforms were not enclosed. a) Re-pack Line 3; On or about September 13, 2016, employees working in the area to the rear of the grading/sorting table were exposed to potential amputation hazards due to an unguarded power transmission sprocket and chain that was less than 7 feet above the walking working surface. b) Re-pack Line 5; On or about September 13, 2016, employees working in the area of the grading/sorting table were exposed to potential amputation hazards due to an unguarded power transmission sprocket and chain that was less than 7 feet above the walking working surface. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
