Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 005 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(4): Ladders shall be used only for the purpose for which they were designed: a. On or about August 13, 2016, an employee used a 6-foot Werner step ladder improperly, in that the ladder was in the closed position leaned against the wall. The employee was being exposed to a fall hazard. Northwest Bay Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(4), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1132145, citation number 01, item number 005(a) and was affirmed as a final order on May 27, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at Lot 185, Cannonball Lane, Watersound, FL 32413.
