29 CFR 1926.1053(a)(18): Where the length of climb on a fixed ladder was less than 24 feet (7.3 m) and the top of the ladder was at a distance greater than 24 feet (7.3 m) above lower levels, the ladder was not provided with either a cage, well, ladder safety devices, or self-retracting lifelines: a) 50 Knoll Drive, In the Woods at the Rear of the High School at the Water Tank, Denville, NJ. Employees were exposed to falls of 44 to 50 feet to the ground below as when on the fixed ladder to access the top of the water tower, the ladder did not have a cage, well, ladder safety devices or self-retracting lifelines. Violation observed on or about 08/15/2016.
