29 CFR 1926.353(e)(2): Employees performing any type of welding, cutting, or heating shall be protected by suitable eye protective equipment in accordance with the requirements of Subpart E of this part. a. On or about August 4, 2016, located on the 3rd floor of the Columbus Municipal Power Plant, an employee was performing torch cutting operations without any secondary eye and face protection, thereby exposing the employee to severe eye and face burns.
