29 CFR 1910.184(e)(3)(ii): The employer shall make and maintain a record of the most recent month in which each alloy steel chain sling was thoroughly inspected, and shall make such record available for examination. a. On or about November 23, 2015, employees were required to use alloy steel chain slings to manipulate loads (tires) during removal/installation and yearly inspections records were not maintained. Employees were thereby exposed to struck by hazards from manipulating rubber tire loads with truck-cranes.
