Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 005 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.212(a)(4): Barrels, containers, and drums. Revolving drums, barrels, and containers shall be guarded by an enclosure which is interlocked with the drive mechanism, so that the barrel, drum, or container cannot revolve unless the guard enclosure is in place. On or about June 16, 2015, the parts dryers were not provided with interlocks that stopped the dryers from rotating when opened, thereby exposing employees to struck by hazards at the bottom and top of the dryers.
