29 CFR 1910.119(j)(4)(ii): Inspection and testing procedures did not follow recognized and generally accepted good engineering practices (RAGAGEP) (note: this standard applies to pressure vessels and storage tanks; piping systems (including piping components and valves); relief and vent systems and devices; emergency shutdown systems; controls (including monitoring devices and sensors, alarms, and interlocks) and; pumps as referenced by sections (j)(1)-(j)(1)(vi) of this standard: (a) Throughout the facility; The employer did not follow recognized and generally accepted good engineering practices for piping inspections, such as American Petroleum Institute (API) 570, when the employer failed to compile necessary and complete piping inspection records, based on thickness measurements. (b) E-II Building, Liquid Molecular Sieve; The employer did not follow recognized and generally accepted good engineering practices for pressure vessel (E- 101) inspection(s), such as American Petroleum Institute (API) 510, when the employer failed to compile necessary and complete vessel inspection records, based on thickness measurements.
