29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: Leadwell MCV-1300P CNC vertical milling center: on or about May 11, 2015, employees were operating equipment that did not have its point-of-operation and associated danger zone guarded to prevent struck-by hazards from flying metal chips during machining cycle. Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
