29 CFR 1910.24(h): "Railings and handrails." Standard railings were not provided on the open sides of all exposed stairways and stair platforms. Stair railings and handrails were not installed in accordance with the provisions of 1910.23. a)9000 River Rd, Delair, NJ, Building 10 Shipping Area: Employees used a stairway for access and egress to and from building 10 which was not provided with railings on it's open side and was observed on 5/13/15. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 AS PER 29 CFR 1903.19.
