29 CFR 1910.179(j)(2)(iv): Monthly inspections of hoist chains, with a certification record which includes the date of inspection, the signature of the person who performed the inspection and an identifier of the chain which was inspected, were not performed: (a) On or about January 21, 2015, in the north side of building #2 of the facility, The employer did not ensure that the Hoist Chains used on the Wright 5 Ton Overhead Bridge Cranes, were inspected monthly with written certified records being maintained. Abatement certification is required for this item; use the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET for this purpose.
