29 CFR 1910.430(c)(2): Breathing gas supply hose connectors shall: 29 CFR 1910.430(c)(2)(iii): Be resistant to accidental disengagement. a. On or about October 11, 2014 through October 14, 2104, located at the Discover Financial Services' north retention pond, employees were conducting surfaced-supplied diving in order to remove pond muck with a suction hose. The employer supplied the divers a 26 gallon Central Pneumatic air compressor, model number 68067, serial number 06047 that had an air hose attached to provide the divers with air. The air hose connection was of a quick-disconnect type, which was not resistant to accidental disengagement, thereby exposing the divers to a drowning hazard in 10-12 feet deep water.
