29 CFR 1910.1026(h)(1): A hazard was present or was likely to be present from skin or eye contact with chromium (VI); however, the employer did not provide appropriate personal protective clothing and equipment at no cost to employees, and/or did not ensure that employees used such clothing and equipment: a) Plating Room: On March 27, 2024, and at times prior thereto; employees wear two layers of wrist length latex gloves during chrome plating operations. b) Plating Room: On March 27, 2024, and at times prior thereto; employees performing chrome plating operations are not protected against splash hazards to the face. Employees wear general purpose safety glasses. Note* Abatement certification is required for this item.
