29 CFR 1910.146(d)(9):The employer did not develop and implement procedures for summoning rescue and emergency services, for rescuing entrants from permit spaces, for providing necessary emergency services to rescued employees, and/or for preventing unauthorized entry. (a) CJ TMI Manufacturing America, LLC, waste water pit: The employer did not develop and implement rescue procedures and/or the provision of emergency services for employees that entered the waste water pit. On or about 11/24/2021, a Maintenance Mechanic entered the pit to service the sensor and collect a water sample. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
