29 CFR 1910.134(k): This paragraph requires the employer to provide effective training to employees who are required to use respirators. The training must be comprehensive, understandable, and recur annually, and more often if necessary. This paragraph also requires the employer to provide the basic information on respirators in Appendix D of this section to employees who wear respirators when not required by this section or by the employer to do so: At a facility located at 206 Charles Street, Oconto, WI 54153; the employer did not provide effective information and training on respirators or a respiratory protection program when: a) Employees were overexposed to particulate not otherwise regulated (PNOR) in the Finishing and Small Parts Finishing areas and would be required to wear respirators. b) Employees were provided respirators for voluntary use in the Finishing, Small Parts Finishing and Lamination areas and were not provide the basic information on respirators in Appendix D of this section.
