29 CFR 1910.29(b): Guardrail systems. The employer must ensure guardrail systems meet the following requirements: 29 CFR 1910.29(b)(14): Guardrail systems meet the following requirements (14) Guardrail systems on ramps and runways are installed along each unprotected side or edge. Lindenwood East grain bucket elevator and East overhead loadout bins, horizontal access runway: on or about April 7, 2020, employees walking on and working from the runway were exposed to fall hazards over 4 feet likely to result in serious injury from stepping into and falling through the space where North guardrails were not installed at the unprotected North edge of the walkway. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
