29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A): As referenced by 29 CFR 1926.103, respirators with tight-fitting facepieces were worn by employees who had facial hair that came between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face or that interfered with valve function: a) 306 Martin Luther King Blvd., Newark, NJ The employer did not ensure that employees required to wear 3M half face tight-fitting respirators did not have facial hair that came between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face. On 5/6/19, employees performing interior manual demolition were exposed to lead at 65.0 ug/m3, 86.6 ug/m3 and 297 ug/m3 as an 8- hour Time Weighted Average (TWA), exceeding the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) of 50 ug/m3 by 1.3, 1.7 and 5.9 times, respectively. Zero exposure was assumed for unsampled periods of 271 minutes, 152 minutes and 139 minutes, respectively. Violation occurred on or about 5/2/2019
