29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): 29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Unless specifically permitted otherwise in paragraph (g)(1)(ii) of this section, flexible cords and cables may not be used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure. On or about December 15, 2023, at the facility located at 3805 North Freedom Road, Appleton, Wisconsin; the employer failed to ensure that flexible cords were not used as a substitute for permanent wiring. The employer used an extension cord to plug in two chest freezers in the Shipping and Receiving Area.
