29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1):Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: a. On or about November 10, 2021, employees were using chemicals such as Remasol and RemCement during the re-treading process of commercial vehicle tires, and were also pouring/ transferring these chemicals from the original five gallon containers into smaller plastic bottles, during which time the employer had not provided the employees with information and training on the hazardous chemicals; therefore exposing the employees to eye, face and hand chemical hazards.
